What is Animal Crossing?

The Animal Crossing series is a life simulation game that allows the player to live in a village populated with anthropomorphic animals. The original Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 64 was released in 2001 and was followed by several sequels on more recent consoles, including Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS and Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS. The first mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, was released in November 2017.

Animal Crossing offers endless fun and excitement as you help design your community from the ground up. You start by moving into a tent or house and then spend time collecting items you need while customizing your character’s appearance. From there, you can chat with the villagers, take part-time jobs, play minigames, go fishing, and more!

The games are based on real-world time; everything in it happens simultaneously with the world outside of your window! You can visit your friends’ towns using wireless communication as well.

Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 64

The first Animal Crossing game was released for the Nintendo 64 in 2001. It was a simulation game in which the player could live in a town populated with anthropomorphic animals, and have to pay off their mortgage by befriending, visiting, and trading with neighbors. The original Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 64 was followed by several sequels on more recent consoles including Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS and Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS.

Animal Crossing for the Nintendo DS

I used to play Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS when I was younger. It’s a really fun game that makes you feel like you’re in a small town with anthropomorphic animals. I would always play it on my DS and then go outside in my neighborhood and pretend I was living there, too. My favorite part of the game was trying to collect all the different items and make sure that I had everything in my house. The most recent Animal Crossing games are a little more difficult, but they’re still really fun!

Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 3DS

One of my favorite Animal Crossing games is Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS. In this game, you live in a town populated with animals and get to meet them all, and the more you talk to them and interact with them, the faster your friendships grow. The more friendships you have, the better you can customize your house. You can also customize your character by choosing from different clothes and hairstyles. There are also tons of fun activities to do, like fishing or bug-catching by using an insect net. I love how this game is so relaxing yet still exciting at the same time.

Animal Crossing Mobile

The newest game in the Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, was released on iPhone and Android phones on November 22nd, 2017.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a free-to-start game with optional in-game items available for purchase. The game features a simplified version of Animal Crossing gameplay, similar to what’s seen in the amiibo Festival mini-games. Animals can be caught by fishing or snagging them from the sky when they fall out of a tree. Like other games in the series, players have access to their own campsite and can decorate it with furniture, clothing, and fruit collected from various locations around the map. They can also craft new furniture using materials scavenged from trees and rocks scattered throughout the world that are then delivered by Tom Nook’s nephews Timmy and Tommy’s animal crossing video game.

Conclusion

Animal Crossing is a series of life simulation video games developed by Nintendo.

The original Animal Crossing game was released for the Nintendo 64 in 2001, followed by a sequel, Animal Crossing: Wild World, for the Nintendo DS in 2005. The most recent release in the series is Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which was released for the 3DS in 2012.

All games in the series follow a similar premise: the player moves into a town populated with anthropomorphic animals and participates in activities such as fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, and fossil trading. The player can interact with almost every other animal in the game, being able to speak to them and give them items.
